Laser Micromachining Solutions Facilities
What do you want to fabricate today?
LMS lasers cover the ultra-violet, visible and infra-red wavelengths.
Our primary laser system is a Q-series 532nm (green) laser system (Q201-HD) which offers >2mJ pulses with durations <20ns, and pulse repition frequencies from 100's to 10kHz.

This system is externally frequency doubled for applications requiring ultra-violet radiation such as treating/machining glass and polymers.
LMS also has limited access to Macquarie University's Ultrafast laser facility, based around a Spectra-Physics Hurricane laser system.

Materials Processed
We can process the majority of metals, ceramics, polymers, glasses and crystalline materials, with feature sizes as small as 10 micron (less than 1/2,000 of an inch) in metal and 1 micron in some crystalline materials.
LMS Joins ANFFEstablished in 2007, under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy, the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) links seven university-based nodes to provide researchers and industry with access to state-of-the-art fabrication facilities.
