The burn time for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games torch was controlled by a small flow controller, approximately half the thickness of a human hair in diameter, machined using techniques developed by this team.

Anglo Australian Observatory: High precision masks for IRIS2

The Anglo-Australian Observatory (AAO) won the prestigious Bradley Engineering Award for Excellence for a new astronomy camera IRIS2. LMS was cited by the AAO for our part in fabricating the optical filters incorporating several high resolution micro-slots with a positional accuracy of one micron.
