Laser Micromachining Solutions (LMS) is a laser machining service and feasibility testing centre conveniently located in Sydney, Australia, providing subsidised pricing for university groups and small to medium enterprises for prototyping and small scale manufacture of machining solutions in the tens of micron scale in a variety of materials.

LMS has a unique capability in high-speed, precision laser micromachining drawing on over ten years experience as a commercial venture within the MQ Photonics Research Centre (inc. Centre for Lasers and Applications) at Macquarie University.

LMS systems include high power DPSS lasers (visible, UV and infrared) and limited access to ultrafast and CO2 lasers. We excel in the rapid production of micro-orifices, micro-features and micro-structures, down to 5 µm in size, in metals, polymers, glasses and crystalline materials.

LMS Joins ANFF

Established in 2007, under the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy, the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF) links seven university-based nodes to provide researchers and industry with access to state-of-the-art fabrication facilities.
